Scott Nydegger/Sikhara live at The Smell, Los Angeles
Sikhara was a constantly touring tribal percussion unit, who inspired the term “Industrial”. The membership included some true drumming greats from like-minded scenes in several countries, and they overlapped with a few legends in the world of tribal music, and developed a wild reputation for visiting exotic locales, and giving intense performances on their many tours and releases. They were also s flagship project of the Radon Collective

Another leader of the Radon Collective was sax icon Steve Mackay from Iggy and the Stooges. Nydegger served as his producer, booking agent, and was the musical director for his rotating members backing group, the Radon Ensemble. As with Sikhara, Nydegger played 3 continents with the group.
With Sikhara and Radon utilizing France as their European headquarters, Nydegger began making regular visits to Portugal, spawning two more notable projects: United Scum Soundclash and Mecanosphere.

U.S.S. is the acclaimed production project of Scott Nydegger and Jonathan Uiel Saldanha aka HHY.

Nydegger appeared in several line-ups of Damo's Network in 4 countries and one recording is featured on the "Sonitus 2006" compilation.

Scott's origins date back to a love for his midwest upbringing immersed in the noise rock of the region, especially the Amphetamine Reptile label, which lead to the formation of his band Exit, and to an eventual long time partnership with Dave Unger and Love 666.
For most of the 90s, he was with the noise rock/quasi-industrial unit Exit, who had an unlikely yet eventful existence. Some highlights included playing at CBGBs, hanging with William S. Burroughs, touring with ex-Dicks members in Pretty Mouth, stealing Joe from Splipknot's blow up doll and violating it with a crucifix, crashing the Cows tours, and of course many visits to our pals in New Jersey, Burn Music Productions. Oh, and of course hanging out with Kid Rock before he got famous.
Early Exit was on
some hip noise labels:
Pinecone Records
(along with
Powerwagon and
Bongzilla) and Satan's
Pimp from Nevada.
Later Exit was
released on a host of
obscure European
labels. During this time
Nydegger was active in
hometaper networks
and had projects on the
notable FDR tapes

X Wing Biolet projects with Brian Noring on
FDR tapes.
Exit's self released
debut
Beginning at the Xi'An MECCA studio, Nydegger set the ambitious goal to write and record a Di Kang album on all 7 continents. A few years later, with 6 continents complete, he was leaving for Antarctica when the pandemic shutdown happened.

A physical version of MECCA studio existed for a period in Nashville, TN with ideal conditions. There was a cave like room for recording and a separate area for practice space, that also was used to put on a few shows for touring artists.
